Please note: this product will only work with Iron Pans designed for induction use. The rule of thumb for selecting cookware is if a magnet sticks to the cookware bottom, the cookware will work on your cooker. The bottom surface of the cookware must be made of ferrous magnetic material. The cookware must touch the cooker or rise no more than 1 inch above it.

In terms of efficiency there’s not really a better way of cooking than induction. Whereas infra-red or even resistive based heaters such as an electric oven heat indiscriminately and can lead to extremely hot isolated points that could pose a risk of fire, induction systems operate off of magnetics. What this means in practical terms is twofold. Firstly, energy is only going to go into the magnetic cookware, rather than being wasted on heating all the air or other equipment around it, drastically reducing cook-time and reducing the wasted load on your batteries. Secondly, risk of gas leak, gas ignition, or risk of fire are drastically reduced if not eliminated altogether.
Induction hobs are safer than gas, open flame or resistance based cooking just by the very nature of how they operate. These induction hobs also feature over temperature, over-and-under voltage protection and over-current protections. They even feature an error signal in case you’re using the incorrect cookware.
Each induction hob ring can operate from as low as 200W (800W pulsed-induction circuit can only engage at 800W minimum) all the way up to 1500W, giving the user full control over their power usage and speed of cooking.
