Penguin Engineering brings you the Eno plancha for your yacht, motorhome or garden

The healthy, clean way to cook all your outdoor meals

Popular across Europe, the plancha has tremendous advantages over the traditional open flame barbecue.

Cooking “a la plancha” requires little or no cooking oil and locks in all the natural flavours your food has to offer.

Unlike a barbecue, food is not in direct contact with the flame, so it won’t dry out and unpleasant smoke and fumes are avoided.

It’s easy to control the cooking process and manage the Maillard reaction (whereby the juices from different foods caramelise) so, like a top chef, you can now make the most of all aspects of your food for maximum taste and texture.

Great for food of all kinds

The plancha is perfect for meat, fish, vegetables and fruits - even chopped small - and it won’t fall through a griddle into the flames below! After a quick wipe of the cooking plate, go straight from the main course to dessert in a matter of seconds.

No mess!

Barbeques are notoriously difficult to clean, especially on a boat. Whether using gas or solid fuel, fat and food debris will fall into the burner tray. It’s unsightly and causes unpleasant odours. That doesn’t happen with an Eno plancha, which is incredibly quick and easy to keep clean and fresh.

The Eno enamelling process

Glass enamel is one of the best ways to rust-proof metals and is extremely resistant to fire, electricity, frost and scratches. It has great heat transfer properties for cooking and is naturally non-stick without the need for short-lived coatings.

The exceptional quality of the 7mm thick, enamelled cast iron plate is a stand-out feature of the Eno plancha. The enamelling process is complicated and the perfection we see today is the proud achievement of many years of effort by the team in the Niort factory.

Eno cooking plates are guaranteed for life.
