Information on the spares required for Barka struts and pedestals.
Electric Motors 12 or 24 V
Electric Motors 12 or 24 V. The electric motor is fitted in all electric Barka struts and pedestals. You will need to check the voltage of the boat and order accordingly. The new motor as shown in the link below is 36mm diameter and 56mm body long. This motor is compatible with the older longer motor that may have square sides. However the new motor will draw min 5 amp and the control box must be compatible to a minimum 5 amp 12v/ 3 amp 24v. Please send your part number and serial number for confirmation of compatibility if you are unsure.
Barka electronic control box (no encoder) for pedestals and struts with loom
Control box (no encoder) for Barka pedestals and struts without encoders.
For replacement parts check the voltage and amperage and replace like for like. If an old style motor is being replaced with a newer version please contact Penguin for compatibility.
Waterproof keypad for Barka pedestals and struts
Keypad supplied as a standard with table pedestals, struts and TV lifts equipped with encoders. Allows programming of the encoder and used by engineers on set up. May be left in place or removed after programming

Control box (encoder) supplied with encoded struts and pedestals. For replacement please contact Penguin with the part numbers and serial numbers of the strut or pedestal.
How to confirm the part number, voltage and serial number
Each pedestal and strut that is fitted with an electric motor will have a sticker near the power supply lead. This may well be on the base of the pedestal. The information here confirms the voltage, amperage for the control box, the fuse size and the serial number. The serial number is unique and can be crossed referenced by the manufacture.
