A Calorifier (or water heater) is an efficient method of heating water on your boat, as it utilises the surplus heat from your engine's cooling system .
As a secondary heat source, the calorifier is also fitted with a dual (220V or 110V) immersion heating element for when you're connected to the mains or a generator.
The blue calorifiers have enamelled steel interiors and are protected by a sacrificial anode which needs to be periodically checked. The silver colured units are exceptionally light in weight and have all-stainless interiors that don’t need anodes. Both are equally suited for use on sea-going yachts and inland watercraft and they can also be used for mobile home and domestic applications. ATI have also introduced a range of mini boilers suitable for small boats and motorhomes/campervans.
